Infrastructure planning expert Rebecca Stewart joins GEI

Stewart delivers projects that support long-term community resilience.

HAMILTON, Ontario, Dec. 15, 2025 – Rebecca Stewart has joined GEI Consultants as Senior Project Manager, Infrastructure Planning. Rebecca has more than 15 years of experience in municipal infrastructure, stormwater, and wastewater systems. She has worked across consulting, municipal, and conservation authority environments.

“Rebecca brings a strong technical background combined with proven team leadership skills. Her broad experience gives her a deep understanding of both the business and client needs,” says Mark Zamojc, P.Eng., Vice President and Infrastructure Planning Practice Lead at GEI. “In her new role, she will lead the Hamilton Infrastructure Planning group and collaborate closely with our other offices to secure new work and deliver ongoing and upcoming projects.”

Rebecca brings a practical, collaborative approach to infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and sustainable solutions. She has led teams working on municipal infrastructure planning, helping projects progress in a way that makes sense both technically and operationally. Known for her passion for teamwork and leadership, Rebecca is committed to fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment and delivering high-quality work to support long-term community resilience.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo. She is a member of the Municipal Engineer Association (MEA) and holds a Class 3 Wastewater Collection System Operator license issued by the Ontario Water and Wastewater Certification Office (OWWCO).
