Papadacos focuses on sustainable asset management solutions![]()
VAUGHAN, Ontario, Oct. 29, 2025 – Michael “Mike” Papadacos, M.A., P.Eng., has joined GEI Consultants as Senior Project Manager in Infrastructure Planning. With more than 20 years of public and private sector leadership experience, he has led planning programs within land use, infrastructure, asset management, municipal finance, and climate change.
Mike served most recently as Director of Asset Management and Capital Planning and Commissioner of Infrastructure, Planning and Growth Management for the City of Peterborough. In that role, he led programs to improve how the municipality assessed infrastructure ROI, addressed funding gaps, and managed climate-related risks. Mike also oversaw capital planning, master plans, asset management strategies, integrated flood models, and climate action plans.

A strong advocate for evidence-based decision-making, Mike works to help build resilient, prosperous, and equitable communities. He has co-authored papers and presented to organizations including the Water Environment Association of Ontario, the Water Environment Federation, Ontario Good Roads, and the Ontario Waste Management Association.

Mike holds a Master of Arts in Sustainability Studies from Trent University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical/Environmental Engineering from the University of Toronto.
